Professor Michael Wabwile is the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Law at Egerton University. He has more than 22 years’ experience in university administration, supervision, research and teaching. He is a trained and experienced Quality Auditor for the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) and the Commission for University Education (Kenya). At the Kenya School of Law Board, he is Convenor of the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
Admitted to the Roll of Advocates in February 1997, he is a practising Advocate of High Court of Kenya, Commissioner for Oaths, and, recently served as an elected Member of the Advocates Disciplinary Committee (2018-2021). Professor Wabwile holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree of the University of Nairobi, a Master of Law (LL.M.) degree of the University of Cambridge, a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree of the University of Leicester, a post-graduate diploma of the Kenya School of Law, and is a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society (FCCS).
